Please Pray with Us

Invitation to Pray.
We are on the search for a new location and invite you to join us in praying for God’s direction.
Lord lead us. May our desires be in line with Your will. Open our eyes to see Your holy and perfect will. If it be within Your will, show us where you want us. Lord, we pray that you would use this process to Your glory and that wherever we land that we would be about Your business and not our own.

I’m praying that we would find a space that serves our mission needs first. We’ll figure out how to do the church thing anywhere. Lord, open our eyes to follow where you are leading.
We just had a good discussion about this at small group study last night…how easy it is to attach ourselves to the building, material things! Doug and I did not get to experience being a “mobile church” since we were welcomed in just a short time ago. As much as we like the building and a location to feel at home in each week, it truly has nothing to do with why we’ve joined The Alley. We trust in the mission-it has stirred something within us and I am excited to experience where God leads us next! And like you Ben, I pray that above all none of us will lose sight of what that means.
Doug told me he’s already to start building the pole barn over in Langdon…
While I admit I’m not really a morning person, it has been nice to not have to setup every sunday. I really like the fact that we aren’t getting kicked out of caribou at 9 p.m. either. However, (my brother says I have too much of a blog mentality and want to share my opinion ad nauseum) I personally feel like there almost was more of a sense of being out in the alleys and byways of Cottage Grove when we were at the Junior High than what we have going on right now. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate the building for what it’s been the last year and I think “the building” was way better than a store front in Newport, but it is just a place…and not really the mission.
so I latch onto the prayer that we were praying at the start of this – God prepare the path and may we have open hearts and discernment to follow it.
Does anyone have an update on this? I realize this was awhile ago, but being we were out sick for th? good part of Feb and part of March we lost touch with where this was at.
@Mike Kostuch – There will be much more info at our Church Meeting on the 23rd however, short answer, yes there is a an update.
We have a contract with Crossroads to use the space for at least one more year, assuming that they do not sell it during that time.
We are continuing to evaluate our options and praying about the future, but it appears that we know what the next steps at least will be.
