Hi friends,
Many of you know I am a part of the board for the Haiti Mission Project and we have a big fundraising event on Thursday night (Jan 21st) at the Hopkins Center for the Arts in Hopkins, MN. Jonathan Schulze has blessed us richly with his connections at Ruth’s Chris and there will yummy food and wine available to you if you attend. There will also be great live music by 100 White Flags, Joel Hanson (of PFR), and Elizabeth Hunnicutt.
There will also be a silent auction including Haitian Art, a weekend package to the St. Paul Hotel, a set of Wusthof Knives (valued over $800) and a $200 photography session with Studio Laguna Photography (http://www.stulagu.com/).
It is going to be a wonderful night and we’re hoping to raise over $10,000 to rebuild the many homes of people we know, the guesthouse we stay at, and to secure food and resources for the orphanages we work with in Haiti. We’ll also be contributing to help cover the costs of an emergency surgery and amputation clinic that has been set up outside on the street by the Heartline women’s clinic. One of our board members (Joanna Thiele) has been working with them since the quake and will be there until Feb 3rd…they are doing amazing life saving and really hard things.
Join us…it’s going to be a great night of music, food, art and raise money for a great cause!
Tickets are $20 in advance at www.haitimissionproject.org or $25 at the door.
We are also looking for volunteers, if the money is tight…but you’re available to help serve that night we have lots of jobs, just let me know!
If you are unable to attend that evening but would like to contribute here is an easy way to do that:
