Coat drive outreach event at theAlley Midway – partnering with the community, we will be giving out the coats to kids and their families in the community who need one
How Long:
Drive goes through Sunday November 13th
What To Donate:
Slightly Used or New Coats for kids or adults – people of all ages.
Where to Drop Off:
During Sunday worship at Alley Cottage Grove or Alley Midway
At theAlley-Midway we want to Live Love and Follow Jesus and bless those in our community who are less fortunate. Many of the families as well as the kids in the Midway area won’t have warm clothes to bundle up in when they’re playing outside or walking to and from school this winter. Some kids have never, ever had a new coat simply because their families can’t afford it.
GET YOUR COAT ON 2011 is a way for us at theAlley to Live Love and Follow Jesus as we help those in need in the Midway area.
Our goal is to giveaway 200 coats this November.
For more information contact Dave or Leslee Hugare at 952-426-8436 or complete the form below.

This one’s for you Alleyans!

Thank you Alleyans for remembering the REASON even when it’s not the SEASON.
This year you all have given hundreds of pounds of food to the shelf, thousands of sandwiches to the homeless and countless hours in service.
You’ve supported missionaries locally and globally. You’ve given thousands to others when dollars are tight and provided emergency help for people in need.
You’ve sent Gospel boxes overseas, gifted a dishwasher to the shelter and literally warmed the local homeless by providing blankets.
You’ve walked alongside of families at the shelter. Tutored kids, shared the Word, and been faithful in love.
You’ve done all of this and so much more NOT for your own glory but in worship of Jesus.
Thank you! Glory to God in the highest and peace on earth to men, on whom His favor rests!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU CHURCH! The donations for the families of the townhouse fire have been overwhelming! To the point where we need to stop collecting for the time being.
Once they are able to move back into their homes we will start another more specific request for items. You are all a blessing, thanking God for you!
HELP: 5 Families in Need Following Fire

update: 6/9
We have determined that there is a need for furniture, especially bedroom stuff as the bedrooms of the units were destroyed since they were on the upper levels. Stuff that we can take: beds (frame & mattresses), dressers, cribs, change tables, kitchen tables, chairs, sofa, tv stand/entertainment center, etc… Please contact us BEFORE you drop stuff off by emailing Brian here.
We have an opportunity to BE the church for some people in our community with a BIG need….
Last night a fire claimed the homes of 5 families in a complex in Cottage Grove. A big need for these people is clothing, cards to Target, Cub, Rainbow, etc.
We are collecting the following clothing items, if you can help out please bring items to church and place in/around the shopping cart where food shelf donations are made:
- L-3XL Women’s Clothing
- 0-3mo Boys
- 2T-5T – Boy’s & Girls
For questions and/or more information please email Brian by clicking here.

I was asked by our denomination to shoot a short video on what it’s like to be a mission church 2 1/2 years after launch. Thought I’d share.
Kids Against Hunger

I missed you all this last weekend. Had a beautiful and much needed daddy weekend. But, I’ll warn you I woke up hungry to preach on Sunday and am already looking forward to next week. We are entering into some awesome parts of Romans.
To the real reason for this post. This last weekend our friend Jenny invited us to serve for a couple hours with a ministry called Kids Against Hunger. As a parent it is really hard to find missional things that the entire family could be a part of. So, this was such a gift. My 4 year old daughter was helping to load bags of food while my hair net clad boys filled them, weighed them and passed them down.
It was an awesome experience. So much so that I’m thinking that this could be a great thing for our church to get involved with on our own. Praying on that. Potentially more to come at a later date.
